WELCOME CHICKEN!!!

A great week for the SNPchimp: First we get e!mpowered officially by Ensembl and now we extend our resources. The sixth species has been included in the SNPchimp v.2 tool: this time is the CHICKEN to join our large family!

We'd like to thank the input from Anna Wolc (Poznan University of Life Sciences).

Currently we're hosting the Affymetrix HD chip, with full download and browse capabilities (including Ensembl Biomart on Gallus-gallus 4.0 assembly).

We'll explore the possibility of including at least part of the IP-protected Illumina-based chip.
